One update per month. Hmm, not too bad. Started the month with a sleepover OxIRC fireworks party at Mike's house. Very nice house, and very nice MG TF he has parked out the front, too. :-)

Helped orchestrate a CompSoc talk by Ewan Birney of the EBI, too, which went down well. His recommendation was that if I knew one end of a strand of DNA from the other, and knew what a linux boot screen looked like (</quote>), then I should seriously investigate a job in bioinformatics. To this end, I'm going to send out feelers on the Oxford bioinformatics possibilities.

Apart from that, I have been continuing my search for jobs in Oxford.

I seem to have just determined that the house is falling apart. The front door is letting rain in at the bottom, and the bedroom windows appear to be leaking where the putty has broken up on the inside (I wouldn't think that should happen, though, since the outside has just been puttied and painted). Oh well, time to do some DIY, I guess, when things have dried out a bit. Damn this country and its weather.
