Or: Exploding Penguin Party

A night of Simon, Kake, rols, Art, cats (well, a cat), penguins, alcohol, being fed vegetables (perseverance, Kake, perseverance... *runs away*), GIN!, mp3s, singing, failing to sing, lighting cigarettes on stoves. Brought to you by Kristin Hersh, Elvis Costello and the Beatles (well, mostly). A splendid time was had by all. Photos!

Went and bought Radiohead's Kid A today. Really not what I was expecting, perhaps not what I was hoping for, but despite that, I think I like it :-)

Hmm. Hmmmmmm. A strange, strange night. Good things, bad (FSVO bad) things and strange things seemed to happen alternately. However, all finally ended up good, so I think I'm happy, on balance :-)

Lincoln has a college cat! Phil, our organ scholar heard a miaowing outside his window on a rainy night. He opened a window, and a damp cat jumped in. He appears to be unclaimed, so welcome to Lincoln, Frodo.

Aaargh! The exhaust has cracked on the Morris. Yet another Useful Thing I have to add to my to-do list.

Today was a good day. Went for a random drive with Kake and Windle. We decided to go to a pub in a village called Ickford, just so we could say we had done so - although Windle said his pint was "Peculiar, sulphurous and gassed." On our travels, we also went to a pub in Shabbington.

Then, we returned to Keble, and picked up glis to go to Xian's - a chinese restaurant in Summertown. Much nice food and wine was had by all. Staggered back to Keble, bunged Kake and Windle into a taxi bound for hack, talked to glis for a bit, then went back to Lincoln.

Failed to go to Panic. Oh well, next time...
